Graduate Memo Templates
Welcome to Academia, where memos are the primary form of communication. Unlike undergraduate degrees, there is no big central computer in the Registrar's office tracking your progress. To document that you are completing the formal requirments, you need to send memos to the Graduate Studies office (in our case, Judy Bowers in Conradi) after every committee meeting.
Here are boilerplate memos in Microsoft Word format to be modified for your use. Be sure to change the date and names! Usually these memos need to be co-signed by your major professor and the rest of your committee. Be sure to make copies of the signed memos for yourself, for your professor, and for the Neuroscience Office (Janet Parker) before sending the signed original to Judy Bowers!
